Airport Security
Access to the Greeley-Weld County Airport is controlled by a computerized
access control system, which uses proximity cards issued to each authorized
person for access. Four hydraulically operated vertical pivot gates
provide vehicular access at key locations around the airport, complimented
by several pedestrian walk gates which are also activated by the proximity
card system.

An Airport Security Plan (ASP) has been adopted by the
airport, which outlines procedures and practices for authorized access to
the airport, and also identifies several different levels of restricted
areas around the airport. The Airport Security Plan follows the
recommended outline and standards of the Transportation Security
Administrations Security Guidelines for General Aviation Airports, but also
allows for easy access to the airport facilities by pilots and passengers,
as well as providing traditional aircraft operations viewing opportunities
for the general public, which has been a tradition at general aviation
airports.
The Greeley-Weld County Airport is located entirely within the
City of Greeley, and the Greeley Police Department has law enforcement
jurisdiction at the airport.
Several live cameras exist at the
Greeley-Weld County Airport which are normally accessible through this web
site, and which provide a view of the terminal building aircraft parking
apron.
