Staff Biographies

AIRPORT MANAGER

        

Michael A. Reisman, A.A.E.
 

Michael A. Reisman has 21 years of progressively responsible experience in airport management.  He has been the Airport Manager of the Greeley-Weld County Airport since April, 1996.  Prior to that, Reisman worked for six years in the Fort Worth, Texas Department of Aviation, with responsibilities over three airports.  While in Fort Worth, he served in several positions, including Airport Manager for two of the three system airports, and as the Director of Operations, Maintenance and Security for all three.  While in Fort Worth, Reisman was directly responsible for managing over 10 million dollars worth of capital improvements to the airport system.  Prior to this, Reisman worked at the Richmond International Airport in Virginia, served in the United States Army as an air traffic controller, and also became a licensed Private Pilot.  Reisman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, in Daytona Beach, Florida, with concentrations in Aviation Management and Air Traffic Control Technology.

Since arriving at the Greeley-Weld County Airport, Reisman has managed the most significant changes to the airport in its 60 plus year history.  These include almost 30 million dollars of capital improvements, including the design and construction of the north/south 10,000 foot runway complex, the re-habilitation of pre-existing runway and taxiway systems, the design and construction of a new airport terminal and administration building, fuel farm facilities, roadway and parking improvements, security enhancements and storm water system improvements.  Upcoming projects include continuing maintenance upgrades to the airfield, the design and construction of a new 150' tall air traffic control tower, runway and taxiway strengthening improvements, and the design and construction of new taxiways to serve future aeronautical development areas.

Reisman is a professionally accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Airport Operators Association, currently in the position of Vice President.  Reisman also serves on the Board of Directors of the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, and is Past Chairman of the Greeley Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.  Reisman is also a fully FAA certified aircraft rescue firefighter.

 

ASSISTANT AIRPORT MANAGER

          

Kevin Freiberg, C.M.

Kevin Freiberg has worked in the field of airport management since January, 1995, and started out as a management intern at the Greeley-Weld County Airport.  Since that time, Freiberg has accumulated 13 years of experience.  Freiberg has served as the Assistant Airport Manager of the Greeley-Weld County Airport since August, 2005.  Prior to that, Freiberg worked in Airport Operations and as a Communications Officer at both the Richmond International Airport in Virginia, and at the Denver International Airport in Colorado. 

As the Assistant Airport Manager, Freiberg is responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of the Greeley-Weld County Airport, including special projects and supervision of construction activities.  Freiberg holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado, and an Associates Degree in General Studies from Front Range Community College in Denver, Colorado. 

Freiberg is both a Certified Member and a Certified Employee through the American Association of Airport Executives, a member of the Colorado Airport Operators Association, and a fully FAA certified aircraft rescue firefighter.
