Beginning Monday, September 16th, the Greeley-Weld County Airport will start construction on the west half of the terminal parking ramp. During this phase, the west taxi lane will remain open, lined with lighted barricades for safety.

Please note that a three-day closure of the west taxi lane will be required sometime in mid to late October, temporarily restricting access to the west hangar area. We will provide updates once the dates are confirmed. 

We appreciate our tenants' patience and cooperation throughout this project, which is essential for maintaining airport infrastructure. 

Greeley-Weld County Airport is pleased to announce the commencement of the Main Ramp Rehabilitation Project this fall.

The selected contractor has tentatively scheduled the project to begin in the second week of September, focusing initially on the west half of the main ramp. During the project, there will be a brief period (approximately three days) of limited airfield access for tenants located west of the airport terminal building. This temporary restriction is expected to occur in late September or early October. The exact dates will be communicated promptly via our website and displayed in the terminal building once confirmed.

In the lead-up to and throughout the construction, airport staff will issue project updates. These updates will include clear, easy-to-understand graphics illustrating any necessary detours, phases, and other important information.

Please join the airport staff and Garver Engineering on Thursday June13th at 1pm for a tenant meeting to discuss the main ramp rehabilitation project. We will cover the proposed phasing as well as the design considerations. The project is currently out for bid with and expected start date of August 1st, 2024.

The regularly scheduled board meeting in May has been cancelled. Instead, there will be a special meeting held on Tuesday May 21st at 3:30pm at the airport terminal building and via zoom. The purpose of the special meeting is to cover items normally considered during the regular board meeting.  

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION: Runway 10/28 

Runway 10/28 will shut down for construction starting May 1st, 2023. Construction crews will be milling and overlaying new asphalt to extend the life of the runway surface. In addition to the asphalt repairs, signs will be replaced in the 10/28 and taxiway A complex. 

During construction, one of the crossing connectors (C & D) will be closed at separate times. During the C closure, the C1 connector will be closed. This is done in order to not block access to the C complex by aircraft waiting to take the runway. Instead aircraft will be instructed to run up in the C1 run up area and utilize C2 for access to the runway.
